Background

According to the prosecution’s account, on the afternoon of March 23, 2019, the couple decided to go out for a drink at a bar in the Galán neighborhood and leave the children sleeping. When they returned home, after being outside for about three hours, they started an argument motivated by Gloria Aideé’s jealousy.

According to the testimonies collected by the prosecutor in the case, the neighbors listened, around 1:30 a. m, screams, people running, blows and the voice of Gloria Aideé repeating on several occasions “for that woman, for that woman.”

During the reconstruction of the events, the Prosecutor’s Office maintained that when Iván was sleeping she took a kitchen knife, slowly approached the man, and stabbed him 2 times in the thorax and 6 more in the back. The man, who was only wearing a black T-shirt and underwear, died in a matter of seconds on a tumult of clothing and next to the sofa, due to massive bleeding.

Subsequently, the woman murdered the two minors in the main room of the house, where the two children slept “to try to simulate a case of self-defense,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.

One of the arguments of the accusing body is that the man could not have killed the children because there were no traces of blood on the soles of the feet, a situation that would call into question Gloria’s version, in which he affirmed that there was a previous struggle to the death of their children.

Two events that call the attention of the case occurred between two and three in the morning. After the inspection carried out by the Judicial Police in the house of the Zorro Huertas family, the authorities were able to determine that from the woman’s cell phone, three photos appeared between 2:54 am and 2:56 am directed to her sister, where she stated that she had killed her husband.

Another striking situation is that it was possible to verify that Gloria Aidee called, from her home phone, more than 45 times who would be Iván Arturo Zorro’s lover.

Another of the evidence presented by the prosecutor are two manuscripts by Gloria Aidee, in which she writes to Iván “I caught him” alluding to the infidelity of her partner, which according to the prosecutor, would prove that she suffered from excessive jealousy and that such situation, they would have led her to commit the triple murder.
