(CNN) — Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said on Friday that his country will launch its military campaign against the Lebanese “Hezbollah” in Lebanon, Syria and “anywhere else” it finds the armed group..
Gallant added, via the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), that “Israel will shift its campaign” from responding to Hezbollah to pursuing it wherever it is in Beirut, Baalbek, Sidon, and Nabatieh. This also applies to places much further away, such as Damascus and what is happening in Homs. And Hama, and wherever we need to act, we will act.”
It is noteworthy that the Israeli army announced earlier the killing of the deputy commander of Hezbollah’s missile and missile unit, Ali Abdul Hassan Naim, in a raid on southern Lebanon.
