The next iPhone 12 Pro could see an advance in video. Editor Max Weinbach says he found references to new video modes in the first beta of iOS 14. Future iPhone could film in slow motion in 4K at 120 frames per second and 240 fps.
Current iPhones are limited to 4K at 60 fps. The slowed modes in 120 fps and 240 fps are only in 1080p.
EverythingApplePro, which relays the discovery of Max Weinbach, mentions only the iPhone 12 Pro as beneficiaries of this novelty. The basic iPhone 12 would not be eligible. This is quite surprising when you know that the iPhone 11 Pro and non-Pro are on an equal footing in this area.
