Some users iPhone on the iOS 14 operating system complained on various internet forums that they do not receive notification when there is an incoming message on iMessage. The cause is still unclear so far.
Last month, MacRumors reported that there were increased reports of such bugs for new iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max users. However, it seems that this bug is also affecting older iPhone users, which further indicates that the problem lies with iOS 14.
Many users visited the Reddit forums, the Apple community, and MacRumors to report similar complaints.
Reported The Verge, Confusingly, bugs don’t always happen. Sometimes, users find notifications appearing normally on the cellphone screen, but on other occasions the notifications don’t appear again.
Several people with the same problem have tried various solutions, such as turning off Messages on a Mac or deleting and re-adding some contacts.
Some people said the notification will appear normally after they force close the iMessage app each time after sending a message.
While some reports suggest that such a short-term fix works to fix the bug, not everyone has.

The majority of iPhone users on internet forums admit to being disappointed that Apple hasn’t released a comprehensive fix yet. In fact, message notifications are quite basic and can interfere with the user’s comfort in sending messages.
The Verge wrote that it is not too confident that the problem will improve over the next week.
