In a statement made public on Wednesday, the Public Relations Office of the National Police specified the exact amount of the money stolen during a robbery, on July 21, 2020, of a shop of a Chinese national in Les Allées of the centenary.
“Contrary to the information disseminated through social networks and in certain press organs, instead of 96,000,000 FCFA, it is a sum of 70,000,000 FCFA which was taken away by the criminals in addition to cell phones Iphone, Xmax and Power Banks ”, reads the press release.
For this robbery filmed by a surveillance camera, the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Judicial Police Directorate was seized of a complaint. According to the Police, the current investigations have allowed the arrest of the mastermind of the gang who is a former agent removed from the Police executives and one of his acolytes.
