Instagram star Morena Diaz reveals: she has shown a former friend – Wyna / Suhre – Aargau

Since Erlinsbach’s teacher and body-positive blogger Morena Diaz (73,900 followers) publicly announced at the beginning of January that a good friend had raped her, she had to deal with the question of why she hadn’t reported the man. Now Diaz reveals: she has. She made the announcement public on Sunday evening. On Instagram – combined with the photo opposite – and on her blog.

She submitted the advertisement a few weeks ago: “I was at the police on Thursday afternoon six hours after class and told everything I knew, what I remembered, what I feel,” writes Morena Diaz (27 ). «I literally took off my pants and gave this policewoman an insight into the most intimate of mine. It was damn hard. »

The survey did not take place in Aargau, but in the canton of Schwyz because the alleged act occurred there. In a few weeks there will also be what Morena Diaz calls “confrontation” in her post. However, she will not directly meet the man who is said to have raped her. As with all offenses against sexual integrity, the public prosecutor tries to avoid the direct encounter between the offender and the victim. That means: The two will not be in the same room, the conversation will be broadcast. Morena Diaz is treated like any other woman in a comparable situation.

“Very uncomfortable questions asked again”

The woman from Aargau knows that all of this will be a very big burden once again. She writes on the blog: «I will have to tell again what happened. Have to relive the experience for the hundredth time so that something finally happens. I know that I will be asked very uncomfortable questions again. I know it won’t be easy. This time, however, he will also be interviewed. »

«He is still running around freely. But not because of me”

Morena Diaz writes about the man: «Yes, I reported him and yes, he is still running around freely. But not because of me. Because that’s not what I decided. » And: «It is not so easy to report someone you have loved for a long time. If it were some stranger, I think (I don’t want to say anything because I’ve never been in such a situation) I would file a complaint immediately. But it is not so easy with a friend who I have never done otherwise. »

For Morena Diaz it is clear: “He took a part of me that had not been allowed to him.” And she says: «I’m no exception. My story is not an isolated case. »

«I reported him and I’m scared. I have reported it and there is a feeling of chaos in me, »writes Morena Diaz. Nevertheless, she feels brave: “Because that’s me,” says the influencer. “Reporting someone, knowing what’s going to happen to you and knowing that the chances of conviction are slim are damn brave.”

The teacher asks: «What happens if there is no conviction? Will he be celebrated then? Will I be labeled a liar even more than before, even though I was clearly the victim of a terrible act? »

“Quasi a paradise for such rapists”

Morena Diaz didn’t just post her story on Instagram. She gave interviews and exposed herself in the SRF “Club”. Because it’s about the basics. In her latest blog, she writes that Switzerland is “quasi a paradise for such rapists”: “We live in a rape culture – and that for far too long. It is time that we slowly switch to a consent culture where sex only takes place if both agree. »

Fundamental criticism of Swiss law

Morena Diaz explains it basically: «In Switzerland, one only speaks of rape if the man has penetrated the vagina of the woman with his penis (as if sex only consisted of this one act) and he still used a coercive agent Has. So he must either have used additional physical violence or at least threatened it or rendered it incapable of resisting. » And further: «One indirectly demands from the victim that they have defended themselves. If this is not the case, the act cannot be punished as rape or sexual assault. Incidentally, I don’t just say that on a whim, because unfortunately that’s our current legal situation. »
