IPad users have had their own version of 2012 for many years Facebook acquired photo service Instagram wanted. To date, however, such an app has not been published. When asked, Adam Mosseri, the Instagram CEO, gave reasons for the missing app. The company would actually like to publish an iPad app.
He also said Instagram “would like to build on iPad app. ”
“But we only have so many people, and lots to do, and it hasn’t bubbled up as the next best thing to do yet.”
The iPad is 10 years old. Maybe by the time it’s 20, then?

An iPad app has no priority
However, the company “doesn’t have enough employees” to work on an iPad version. In addition, there are currently interesting tasks for Instagram that have a higher priority within the group. In fact, there is only a comparatively small team behind Instagram. In addition, tablet users basically have the option of using the web version of the service without major restrictions. It is therefore understandable that Instagram focuses on the development of additional features for existing apps.
Even if the development of an Instagram app for iPads is currently not in the foreground, it does not rule out that the social network will not provide an application optimized for the Apple tablets in the future. According to Adam Mosseri, it is now unlikely that this will happen in the foreseeable future.
