KOMPAS.com – Pandemic corona virus Covid-19 still has a lot of mystery, as a new disease.
Both regarding the spread of the virus, symptoms, treatment to what happens to infected patients. One of them is about happy hypoxia syndrome.
A pulmonary specialist and Chairman of the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association (PDPI), Agus Dwi Susanto, said that the condition of happy hypoxia syndrome can be found in patients who are positive for Covid-19.
“We know that Covid-19 is the organ most frequently affected by the lungs. Although currently there are also many manifestations outside the lungs, the organ most often affected by complications is the lungs,” Agus said when contacted by Kompas.com, Tuesday (12 / 8/2020).
He explained that hypoxia syndrome is a condition of a person with low oxygen levels in the body. Normally, the oxygen level in a person’s body is above 94 percent.
Hypoxia syndrome, he said, begins with inflammation of the lungs or pneumonia which disrupts oxygen circulation.
