Ineos, owner of Lausanne-Sport and …

Ineos continues its offensive in sport. After cycling, football and sailing, the business of English billionaire Jim Ratcliffe has entered into a five-year partnership with the Formula 1 team Mercedes.

The red logo of Ineos will now be present on the single-seaters of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. The new car, the W11, will be officially presented at Silverstone on Friday, but the agreement between the world champion team for six years and the chemical and petroleum industry group was formalized in London at a press conference.

Ineos has previously been involved in football, notably at Lausanne-Sport and OGC Nice. The group also has its cycling team, bought from Sky, and finances the English challenge in the America’s Cup. He also supported the marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge in his successful attempt to break the two-hour barrier over the mythical distance.
