India struggle in match four, Australia, India, Australia series

Mumbai: Australia women won match four of T20 series against India. The Australians won the five-game series with a 7-run (3-1) victory. Chasing a target of 189 runs, India fought back but failed to reach seven runs. India won the second match and lost the remaining three matches.

Score: Australia 188 for 3 from 20 overs, India 181 for 5 from 20 overs.

Batting first, Australia’s Alyssa Healy 30 (21), Ashley Gardner 42 (27), Elise Perry 72* (42) and Grace Harris 27* (12) scored huge. In reply, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh scored 40* (19) in the last overs but failed to put India to victory.

Smriti Mandana 16 (10), Shafali Verma 20 (16), Jemima Rodriguez 8 (11), Harmanpreet Kaur 46 (30) and Devika Vaidya 32 (26) were the other contributing batsmen. The last match of the series will be played on December 20th.
