India reported its first death from Monkeypox virus infection on Monday (1/8).
The death from monkeypox in India is the fourth case of death in the world caused by the epidemic.
A man from Kerala reportedly died on Saturday (30/7) after being confirmed positive for monkeypox.
Apart from India, Singapore and Thailand also reported cases of monkeypox.
However, the death of monkeypox in India is the first to be reported in Asia.
