A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized in the Rivne regional children’s hospital after being bitten by a snake. About this on Saturday, July 24, informed in the State Service for Emergency Situations in the region.

“When verifying information from the person on duty on line 103 to the rescuers on special line 101, information was received that on July 23, a boy born in 2009 was hospitalized in the Rivne regional children’s hospital with a snakebite,” the message says.

According to local media reports, the incident took place near the village of Malaya Lyubasha of the Malolyubashanskaya OTG of the Rivne region. Since the beginning of the year, six people have bitten snakes in the Rivne region. Moreover, two cases occurred in July, one of the victims was also a child.

In this regard, rescuers remind that during outdoor recreation, it is necessary to adhere to the rules of caution, wear the correct shoes and clothes, and also not to arrange a lodging for the night near possible hiding places of snakes.

Earlier in the Lviv region per day suffered from snake bites three people, including one child. All were hospitalized in a state of moderate severity.
