Images show an alleged attack by Ukrainian military drones on a Russian oil depot just 190 miles from Moscow.
“The 4 a.m. strike blew up an oil depot in the Stalnoi Kon settlement,” said regional governor Andrey Klychkov.
“There were no casualties. All emergency services are working on the site,” Klychkov added Daily mailWednesday (16/11/2022).
Meanwhile Ukrainian official Anton Gerashchenko noticed the depot explosion without claiming responsibility.
He posted a photo of the burned site – impossible to verify – and the caption: “Smoking in the wrong place has reached the Oryol region.”
Unverified images on social media showed what appeared to be a single fragment on the side of an oil storage tank, blackened with soot.
