“I am exhausted, I am pregnant, I am afraid to go out,” said Norma Solís, a 32-year-old Hispanic woman who is expecting her fourth child, after two of them were hit in a hail of bullets that broke out Tuesday in a park in El Bronx (NYC).

“I have to go out to get medicine and I don’t feel safe to go out. I don’t want to go out on the street,” Solís reiterated in Spanish to the Daily News. “I don’t want to go anywhere. I have no words.”

The shooting took place in St. James Park near 193rd Street and Morris Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. The NYPD was in the area and said that two suspects riding an illegal scooter stopped in the park and fired into the crowd.

The apparent targets were 25-year-old Luigi Delacruz, who was shot in the lower back, and his cousin William Delacruz (23), who was hit in the thigh. Two of Solís’ children, ages 3 and 6, were shot in the leg. The four Hispanic victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
