According to him, Russian troops act like terrorists.
“And according to the UN charter, it is an obligation to maintain peace in the international arena. Member countries that violate these principles can be excluded from the General Assembly and the UN Security Council. Although Russia violates these principles, it has not yet been held accountable,” – Zelensky noted.
He stressed that Russia remains in the UN and has a permanent seat in the Security Council only because of the shortsightedness of politicians at the end of the Cold War.
“Russia has no right to participate in the voting that relates to Ukraine. I urge you to deprive Russia of the right to vote in the General Assembly. This is unfair, Russia has no right to remain in the Security Council. If we express political will, then the UN charter will work,” the president added.
