When Laura calls him a “monster”, he hits her again, and strangles her. “I started seeing stars. I thought it was over, ”explains the young woman in front of the court, who will manage to leave the room to find refuge with hotel employees.

At the bar, she had to muster all her strength not to collapse when the T-shirt torn in three places that she wore on the evening of the facts was presented to the court. Tears welled up, but she held on.

In the months that followed, Laura P. had to live with anxiety attacks, false articles, death threats and insults on social networks. She claims that a sum between “500,000 and 1 million euros” was offered to her to withdraw her complaint. “I changed my life. I am no longer me, ”concludes the 27-year-old young woman, who left the metropolis and now wants to be recognized as a victim. “I want there to be written victim everywhere, she repeats. I want to get back to a normal life. »

Six years later, she cannot explain why Saad Lamjarred turned violent in a fraction of a second, after an evening that was going well. “I liked him physically, I’m not going to deny it,” she concedes. But she specifies: “I did not show any sign that could suggest that I wanted to go further. “He went from a benevolent, caring person, to someone haughty, with dark eyes, and no one inside anymore,” she summarizes.

Indicted for similar facts in New York in 2010 – the proceedings were dropped after a financial agreement with the victim – Saad Lamjarred was also accused of rape in Casablanca in 2015 by a Franco-Moroccan – a case had been dismissed. been ordered. He claims to have “great respect for women” and defends himself from any attack on Laura P. . “If something panicked her and scared her, it was not my intention at all,” explains the singer, who is awaiting trial for another rape charge, in Saint-Tropez in 2018.

He faces 20 years of criminal imprisonment, and will be questioned this Wednesday by the court on the night of October 26, 2016. Verdict Friday.
