The Panavia Tornado is a two-seat variable-sweep wing combat jet aircraft developed in the early 1970s by the German firm Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm. The aircraft is one of the main NATO combat vehicles; it exists in fighter-bomber (Tornado IDS), interceptor (Tornado ADV), reconnaissance (Tornado ECR) modifications.
Melnyk’s statement was made a few days before the next meeting of the contact group on providing defense assistance to Ukraine in the Ramstein format – expected to take place on January 20.

With a call to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine on the eve of “Rammstein” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also spoke. In his opinion, now the decisive stage of the war, so it is necessary that the allies provide Ukraine with “the weapons necessary for victory.”
