“I hope that young people will gain support from my story”: Maxime Meiland shares cover of biography | Showbiz

For two years, the Meiland descendant has doubted whether she should write a book. But after much consideration, she decided to do it anyway, in collaboration with Jan Dijkgraaf. In this way, Maxime hopes to give young people the impression that “it will all work out in the end”. “Even though I find it exciting, I hope that young girls and boys can get support from my story. You are not alone,” she writes on Instagram on Friday with a photo of the book.

On the cover you can read, among other things, that Maxime became a victim of sexting in high school. “After that it went from bad to worse. She became unruly, took refuge in alcohol and was raped when she was fifteen by an ex-convict. As a result, her self-image crumbled even further and she went hard towards the gutter. Until she managed to turn the knob through therapy, the birth of daughter Claire and the move to France.”

According to the cover, in ‘Maxime – abused, derailed and now… happy!’ know a completely different Maxime. “Whoever has read the biography has met a strong, young woman with whom it turned out well after a lot of adversity. And who made herself vulnerable to encourage other women and girls.”
