Redmi 12C launched in Indonesia on March 9, here are leaked key specifications and prices

KOMPAS.com – Xiaomi Indonesia confirmed that it would soon launch the Redmi 12C cellphone in Indonesia next week. This cellphone was released in China at the end of December 2022.

In an official statement received by KompasTekno, Friday (3/3/2023), the Redmi 12C will be released on Thursday, March 9, 2023. This phone will be the successor to the Redmi 10C which was released in April 2022.

Before coming officially, Xiaomi revealed the shape and key specifications of the Redmi 12C in Indonesia.

For design, the Redmi 12C still has the same shape as the Redmi 10C. It’s just that the camera module on the back has undergone a slight overhaul.

Now, the Redmi 12C is equipped with two camera lenses embedded in an oval-shaped module. Near the camera module, there is a fingerprint scanner to unlock the screen.

Redmi 12C key specifications

For specifications, Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch screen. This screen size is exactly the same as last year’s Redmi 10C.

This entry-level cellphone is equipped with two rear cameras, namely a 50 MP main camera and an AI camera. There are also HDR and Night Mode features to complete the user experience when shooting.

Regarding performance, the Redmi 12C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which is combined with up to 7GB of RAM (apparently thanks to the RAM expansion feature) and up to 128GB of media storage.

The successor to the Redmi 10C cellphone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and will be offered in a choice of Ocean Blue and Graphite Gray colors.

Xiaomi guarantees that the Redmi 12C will receive software update support for 3 years.

Currently, Xiaomi has not provided complete specification information and the price tag for the Redmi 12C in Indonesia. This information was originally to be revealed at the time of release on March 9.

However, we can see the price of the Redmi 12C in China as an illustration. In China, Redmi 12C is sold with a price tag of IDR 1-2 million, here are the details:

• Redmi 12C (4/64 GB) – 699 Yuan (about Rp. 1.5 million)
• Redmi 12C (4/128 GB) – 799 Yuan (about Rp. 1.8 million)
• Redmi 12C (6/128 GB) – 899 Yuan (about Rp. 2 million)
