MEXICO CITY.
Escorted by two elements of the Army, from the National Palace, the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, paid a posthumous tribute in honor of the victims of the Covid-19 in our country.
Through his social networks, the first president of the nation clarified that when the terrible pandemic passes, another tribute will be developed to also recognize family members and medical and technical personnel for contributing to saving the lives of Mexicans.
Also, when listing a series of 10 commitments to never forget the pain and suffering that the loss of almost 40 thousand lives has caused for our country due to Covid-19, President López Obrador announced that the government of the Republic will help with credits and pensions to the relatives.
“Help with loans, pensions and scholarships for the well-being of families who have lost their loved ones due to the Covid-19 pandemic; in short, from here, from the National Palace, I embrace with love and solidarity the relatives and friends of those who died for Covid-19, we will continue to do our duty and we will never turn our backs on those who suffer and need us, nothing human is alien to us, “said the president, and immediately one of the two military officers who guarded him intoned the touch of silence in honor of those killed by disease.
Previously, López Obrador listed his government’s health commitments as promoting health education in public schools, giving priority attention to the conditions that most afflict Mexicans; promote the training of specialists in Mexico and abroad to effectively deal with such pathologies as well as not allowing corruption and granting better salaries to health professionals.
The president said that a permanent campaign will also be developed to raise awareness of abuse of junk products and will intensify the dissemination of how important it is to exercise to prevent disease.
“In this simple, but sincere tribute, today, Sunday, July 19, 2020, I swear on behalf of the government I represent, that we will fulfill at least the following commitments: one, we will continue to govern without allowing corruption or waste to have a sufficient public budget and meet the demands of employment, good wages and well-being of the people of Mexico, “said the President of Mexico.
