Employees of a thrift store in Zwolle found a human larynx on Tuesday between hand-in items. The police have investigations carried out to determine the origin, it is reported.
It is not known whether it concerns the larynx of a recently deceased person, or whether the larynx is very old.
The employees found the larynx clearing out surrendered items. They called in the police. Forensic officers were then able to determine that it was a bone from the human body.
An employee of the thrift store tells against The Stentor that the larynx was in a bucket of strong water. On the bucket, which was in a box with other items, there is a sticker with the years 1919 and 2003.
The box had been left outside the thrift shop the day before. “We take every scenario into account,” said a spokesperson. It is not yet known when the results of the study will come in.
