Huawei, the Chinese telecommunications and smartphone giant, launched on Thursday in Kuwait the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, its new generation smartphone compatible with the 5G network.
A large crowd of fans and consumers attended the launch ceremony of this new device, which was held in the governorate of Al-Farwaniya, in a Huawei store in the Avenues Mall, the largest mall in Kuwait.
During the ceremony, Muhammad Awais Sheikh, marketing director of the Huawei Consumer Business Group in Kuwait, said that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G was the first dual-mode phone with a Kirin 990 5G processor.
With this phone, consumers will be able to experience unprecedented video performance thanks to the world’s first high-sensitivity 40-megapixel camera, he said, adding that the smartphone had a 4,500 mAh battery capable of delivering up to two days of use.
Kuwaitis were surprised by the performance of Huawei’s new smartphone, as well as the efficiency of its camera.
Maha Al-Saeed, a famous Kuwaiti blogger, described this phone as wonderful. “The features are great, and the performance is extraordinary,” she said.
In particular, she expressed admiration for the precision of the camera and the efficiency of the battery.
“Huawei is also characterized by the efficiency and speed of its charger,” she added.
Rana Kafran, a local resident, said the smartphone’s four cameras surprised her, as well as the artificial intelligence capabilities intended to improve the privacy of the device.
“The colors are great, the picture is sharp, and I think Huawei is also working on improving its store (apps), which will help spur the launch of new compatible apps,” she said.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G will be available for purchase in Kuwait from January 23, 2020.
