Word and official figures

“Whether you’re planning a staycation, a night out, or just visiting our city, the NYC Winter Outing program has fantastic deals for everyone,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

He added: “By trying one of our world-renowned restaurants during NYC Restaurant Week, seeing one of our iconic Broadway shows during NYC Broadway Week, visiting one of thousands of attractions during NYC Must-See Week or staying at a hotel during NYC Hotel Week, is supporting the engine economic that keeps our city running.”

The New York’s tourism industry continues to recover. In 2022, 56.4 million travelers visited the city, a figure that represents an increase of 71.4% compared to 2021 (47.4 million nationals and 8.9 million internationals). This marks the return of 85% of the 2019 record number of visits to the city. Thus, New York remains on track to attract 61.7 million visitors in 2023.
