Hochbehlter Zellingen: When does chlorine in drinking water end?

Two years after the drinking water accident in Zellingen (district of Main-Spessart), the water of around 50,000 consumers is still chlorinated. But an end is in sight.

Chlorine in drinking water: you can smell it and taste it. Strongest in Leinach, least in Neubrunn (district of Wrzburg), the first and the last of around a dozen municipalities in the western district of Wrzburg that get their drinking water from the Hochbehlter in Zellingen (district of Main-Spessart). So there, where two years ago one of the biggest drinking water accidents occurred in Lower Franconia. Almost 50,000 consumers had to boil their tap water, sometimes for up to three weeks.
