Her classroom became a hospital where she lay.. A child in Gaza wishes to travel to Egypt to walk again (video) | Al-Aqsa Flood News

Medical teams in the Gaza Strip were forced to convert a school in the city of Khan Yunis into a field hospital after the collapse of the medical system and the Israeli occupation evacuating patients and doctors from the Strip’s hospitals at gunpoint.

Today, Monday, Al Jazeera Live camera monitored the accumulation of sick children and women injured by the Israeli bombing inside school classrooms that had been turned into patient wards.

The injured in the field hospital use worn-out beds and their own blankets and receive limited medical care, as an injured child explained, saying that nurses only come to change her bandages.

The child is in the hospital due to severe fractures in her knee that required surgical intervention and the installation of iron pieces. She said that she wishes to travel to Egypt to receive treatment so that she can walk again.

The injured child said that she wishes to return to school, and she also demanded that the bed she is lying on be changed to a more comfortable one.

Al-Saghira appealed on Al-Jazeera Live to those who can help her so that she can travel outside the Gaza Strip to obtain the necessary treatment. She recounted the events of what happened, saying, “A drone bombed them while they were in the Indonesian hospital.”

The Israeli occupation forces had surrounded the Indonesian hospital for days with tanks, bombed those inside with live bullets, and killed martyrs among the medical staff, patients, and displaced persons, only one day after the evacuation of the Shifa Medical Complex.

An injured woman collapsed inside the field hospital while telling Al Jazeera directly what happened to her. She said that she was displaced from the Indonesian hospital after it was bombed to Khan Yunis, and that the trip took 6 hours after the Israeli occupation soldiers stopped the buses that were transporting them and took them off and continued to insult them.

The woman cried bitterly as she said that the occupation bombed her home in Jabalia camp, killed all her family members, and kidnapped her only five-year-old son. She spoke about her tragedy, repeating, “God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs for everyone whose heart is not happy with our situation.”

Another woman said that they bombed her house, and she fled to Jabalia, only to be bombed again. She miraculously emerged from under the rubble, then collapsed crying, saying that her five-year-old grandson was martyred.
