Heavy fireworks set off by train near Schagen, passengers hard of hearing | Interior

In the night between Friday and Saturday, heavy fireworks were thrown on a train near Schagen (North Holland). At least three passengers on the train suffered minor injuries. Police are investigating the role of an 18-year-old from Schagen in the accident.

The accident happened around 2:15 am. The 18-year-old suffered a hand injury. Two other passengers were hearing impaired. All three were checked by ambulance personnel at Schagen station. No one had to go to hospital, a police spokesman told NU.nl.

In the investigation into who set off the fireworks, the police are currently focusing on the man from Schagen. No one has been arrested at this time. It is not clear what kind of fireworks these are.

According to the spokesperson, it is possible that more passengers are hearing impaired. Those people are advised to go to the GP this weekend. The police are also reminding train passengers of the possibility of filing a complaint.
