On Monday afternoon there is a heavy fire in the zone of grassland from Big Swamp, Place ‘El Charco’, in Xochimilco

Due to the intensity of the flames, Mexico City firefighters ask for reinforcement with more pipes with water to fight the fire.
The fire would have been generated by the high temperatures and some glass waste that some passers-by leave inside the reserve.
The sun’s rays and the strong winds that were recorded in this area of the Ciénega Grande were the factor to burn more than five hectares.
So far no injured people are reported.
