Health – Frankfurt am Main – Corona controls and preparations for reopening – Health

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – In Hesse, the authorities continue to check whether people abide by the corona restrictions. Given the bad weather on Saturday, law enforcement officers only registered a few violations of the ban on contact to curb the coronavirus pandemic. With rain and temperatures between eight and twelve degrees, only a few Hessen moved outside – despite the fact that shops are open. “Everything runs smoothly and well,” said a spokesman for the police headquarters in Frankfurt. The offices in Darmstadt, Offenbach, Kassel and Gießen also reported no major deployments.

Today there could be a bit more going on outside – the meteorologists expect only a few showers, especially in the north of the country.

In the meantime, museums and other cultural and leisure facilities are preparing to open after weeks of compulsory breaks – even if there are often no specific dates yet. “We have been preparing for the reopening of the houses for days now, and will come forward next Monday on the specific date for the Städel Museum, for the Liebieghaus sculpture collection and for the Schirn,” said a spokeswoman for the Städel Museum in Frankfurt .

The Hessian State Chancellery announced on Friday that the corona restrictions for many leisure facilities and service providers will be relaxed from Monday – zoos, botanical gardens and museums may reopen, among other things. However, facilities require hygiene concepts for operation.

There is also relaxation for believers: the State of Hesse decided on Tuesday that public services and funeral services will again be permitted under certain conditions from May 1st. However, hardly any services were planned for the weekend.
