Furthermore, HM the King’s aspiration for social justice, which the Sovereign never ceases to embody by putting words into action, has found its clear and unequivocal translation in the project for the generalization of social protection, launched by Her Majesty on April 14, 2021.

This Royal project, which will initially benefit farmers, craftsmen and craft professionals, traders, professionals and independent service providers subject to the single professional contribution scheme (CPU), the auto-entrepreneurship scheme or the accountancy, will have to extend, in a second time, to other categories in the perspective of the effective generalization of the social protection to all the citizens.

A true social revolution, this project will have direct and tangible effects on improving the living conditions of citizens, preserving the dignity of all Moroccans, in addition to its participation in the integration of the informal sector.

More than a year after its launch, health insurance is accessible to 11 million self-employed workers and their dependents, assured the Head of Government last June when answering a question on “the implementation site level of the national health system”, during the monthly plenary session devoted to the public policy of the government in the House of Representatives, specifying that it is a question of 1.6 million farmers, half a million craftsmen and 800,000 traders and craftsmen subject to the single professional contribution scheme, accountants or auto-entrepreneurs, in addition to 140,000 taxi drivers and 230,000 professional drivers.
