Have chloroquine treatments resumed in France?

After stopping the tests with chloroquine, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the resumption of these tests a few days ago. However, in France, article 19 of the decree of May 11, which fixed the derogatory provisions for the prescription of chloroquine was repealed and the Minister of Health did not return to it. And this despite the back pedaling of the prestigious medical journal The Lancet, which had published a study judging ineffective or harmful the use of chloroquine against the coronavirus.

As for the tests, the WHO has indeed announced that they have been relaunched but in France this is not yet the case. Inserm, which oversees the European study Discovery, will “consider resuming the inclusions of new patients receiving hydroxychloroquine”.
