Semarang City Government continues to boost vaccination as an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The Head of the Semarang City Health Office, Hakam said, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination (V1) was 100.53 percent.
In addition to still carrying out V1, the Health Office together with health facilities, the TNI, and the National Police are pursuing the second dose vaccination gap (V2) considering that the V2 achievement is still 67.2 percent.
According to him, there are several reasons why people haven’t done V2, including those who travel out of town.
There are also those who feel trauma with post -immunization events (KIPI) experienced, especially those who were injected with Moderna.
“This requires an approach from us. AEFIs have reported fever, rheumatic pain, especially those who use moderna. The numbers are not large, not more than 10 people every day,” he added, Sunday (3/10/2021).
According to him, the current stock of vaccines is still quite a lot.
He asked the puskesmas to enter the RW area to complete V2 and serve people who have not yet V1.
Meanwhile, hospitals and vaccination centers are sought for residents who are domiciled in Semarang City.
“There are still a lot of vaccine stocks. We asked the puskesmas to go to RW-RW. We have tried to provide hospitals and vaccination centers for those who live in Semarang City,” he said.
Previously, the Mayor of Semarang, Hendrar Prihadi, said that the position of cases had been greatly reduced compared to last July.
However, he stressed to the public to remain vigilant.
“Although level 2 is good enough, I remind the public to apply health procedures. Second, we are accelerating vaccination. Thank God V1 is 100 percent,” said Hendi, his nickname.
Hendi admitted that he did not target when Semarang could immediately go down to level 1. The most important thing is that its citizens can be healthy. (eyf)
