Supermodel accuses R&B artist of sexual assault – VG

Supermodell Emily Ratajkowski.

Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski (30) accuses R&B artist Robin Thicke (44) of sexual assault.

Published:

The assault allegedly took place in 2013, when they recorded the music video for the hit song “Blurred Lines”. Ratajkowski appeared in the music video along with two other models.

In the book “My Body” which will be published in the USA next month, Ratajkowski opens up about the incident for the first time.

It was The Sunday Times who mentioned the case first.

Accused: “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke.

Must have taken her on the breasts

After Ratajkowski recorded the scenes for the music video with the other two models, Robin Thicke is said to have returned to the set to film alone with her.

In the book, Ratajkowski describes how Thicke was drunk when he returned to the set. He allegedly came up to her from behind, and touched her breasts while she was undressing on her upper body.

– Suddenly I felt the cool hands of a stranger over my bare breasts, she writes.

Furthermore, the supermodel says that she felt very humiliated after the incident.

BBC has tried to get in touch with Thicke to get a comment on the accusations, without success.

The producer of the music video, Diane Martel, tells the Sunday Times that she saw what happened between Ratajkowski and Thicke.

– I remember the moment he took her on the breasts. He was standing behind her, and I saw them both from the side. He apologized afterwards, she told the Sunday Times.

The lyrics garnered criticism

The song “Blurred Lines” topped the charts worldwide, and became the most downloaded song in the UK in 2014. Along with Thicke, rappers Pharrell Williams and TI also starred in the song.

Both the music video and the lyrics to the song have recently been criticized for referring to sex without consent.

Pharrell Williams has since stated that he is embarrassed about the text.

Thicke, for his part, defended the lyrics in 2013, claiming that critics did not understand the message of the song.
