Thousands of domestic users of Apple’s iPhone mobile phones have been the target of a large-scale phishing campaign in recent days. From several Czech telephone numbers, attackers send SMS messages in which the user is prompted to update the login details for the Apple ID service via a fake login page.

The method of protection in this case is primarily caution and attention to detail, such as minor typos in a Czech written message and, of course, a fake web address. The attackers use effective social engineering techniques, in this case an appeal to the fear and urgency of the situation. The user can thus easily succumb to the impression that the threat is real.
According to Kropáč, if the user enters his login data, there is a significant risk that they will be stolen. As a result, you may lose your private data, such as photos and other files, as well as credit card information and the like. If the user has already entered the data or is unsure whether he has not done so in the past, Eset recommends that you contact the Apple Support website directly.
