Bitung – The head of the Tajul Alawiyyin Islamic Boarding School, Habib Bahar bin Smith, spoke again about the clashes that occurred in Bitung City, North Sulawesi (Sulut) on Saturday, November 25 2023.

It is known that Bahar conveyed his message when he attended an event in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan on Thursday, November 29 2023.
He was seen wearing traditional Malay clothing, holding up a long sword and on his left side sat a policeman and Sambas traditional leaders.

“They (Manguni) burned the flag lailahaillallah, destroying an ambulance containing small children and women. I asked whether this was a depraved act or not? Fight it or let it go,” he said as seen Friday, December 1 2023.
Habib Bahar bin Smith threatened that if Laskar Manguni was not disbanded, then he and his congregation would move to disband it.
“If the government doesn’t disband it, then by Allah, we will disband it,” he said
“That’s why I conveyed it to the National Police Headquarters, especially the North Sulawesi Regional Police, to investigate this case until it is resolved,” he continued.

Bahar’s invitation received support from thousands of people who attended the event. The entire audience seemed to be shouting “ready” in response to Habib’s words.
“Freedom, freedom, freedom. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. If the tongue is not heard then the sword will speak,” insisted Bahar while drawing the sword he was carrying.
For your information, the clash involving Laskar Manguni and the Palestinian defense crowd in Bitung on Saturday, November 25 2023, caused several people to be injured and an ambulance was destroyed.
Luckily, the incident was suppressed by the local police and the two camps are also reported to have reconciled.
