There are couples from the world of entertainment who remain in people’s hearts and memories even when love ends. Gwyneth Paltrow e Chris Martin they made fans all over the world dream and caused a lot of disappointment when they announced they had split up. And, years after the farewell, the actress is back to talk about the divorce from her ex-husband.
The one between Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin seemed to be a real fairytale story: both beautiful and in love, no one could have imagined that thirteen years after the wedding, celebrated in 2003, and two children, the two would have announced to the world that they no longer love each other.
Yet, in 2014, the Paltrow formalized the separation by the leader of Coldplay, with a great, at least in appearance, serenity. A blameless farewell, a “conscious decoupling”, caused only by a feeling that had faded over the years. Recently, in the podcast Unqualified by Anna Faris, the actress has however provided more details of that period which is now only a bad memory.
Those were difficult days, he said, and very painful for her. Gwyneth, who then appeared extremely determined, actually admitted that she never wanted a divorce from Chris Martin:
I never wanted to get a divorce. In theory, I never wanted not to be married to my children’s father.
He later admitted that the farewell was devastating and that his main thought was the serenity of his children. A suffering that, however, for Paltrow had a positive implication. Precisely because of the divorce from her ex-husband, she was able to reflect on herself, to know herself better and to be able to grasp the best that life was offering her:
Through that process, I learned more about myself than I could have imagined. And because I focused on responsibility, I was able to find the most amazing man and build something I never had before.
In 2018, four years after her split from Chris Martin, Gwyneth married producer Brad Falchuck. Their story first began as a deep friendship and then evolved, despite the initial fears of the actress, into something bigger and deeper. Today they are one of the most solid couples in show business and the example that happiness can be found even after the darkest times.
