GTO Revival: Takashi Sorimachi’s Special Drama Premieres After 26 Years

Fuji TV’s special drama “GTO Revival” starring actor Takashi Sorimachi (50) was broadcast on the 1st (9:00 p.m.). This is the first revival in 26 years of the blockbuster drama that aired in 1998.

“GTO”, which depicts the unconventional education of former Yankee teacher “Great Teacher Onizuka” Eikichi Onizuka, has been revived in the Reiwa era.

In the previous work, Sorimachi himself sang the theme song “POISON~I can’t say what I want to say~” which was a big hit. This time, the four-person rock band “ENCOUNT” was in charge of the arrangement of the song from 1998. Sorimachi also participated as a featured artist and attracted attention.
