The pandemic did not deprive us of the opportunity to vote for the President of the Republic of Poland. Yesterday, actors, presenters, singers and celebrities cast their votes. However, Maciej Dowbor and Joanna Koroniewska were severely criticized. The reason was their unusual appearance.
The presidential election is a day that millions of Poles have been waiting for. It was yesterday that countrymen rushed to the ballot boxes in voting in accordance with their conscience and civic attitude. There was a rash of photos in social media on which the stars documented the event. Maciej Dowbor and his wife were heavily criticized for what their children and themselves looked like. According to many, this is a big exaggeration.
Maciej Dowbor and Joanna exaggerated?
In the opinion of many people, the presidential election is a special day during which each of us casts a vote. A voice that matters to the future of our country. For this reason, anyone who decides to take part in the election should dress appropriately. However, not everyone is of the opinion. Maciej Dowbor and his family went to vote in ordinary clothes. Maciek dressed in a white short-sleeved T-shirt, a cap, shorts and flip-flops. The rest of the family looked very similar – you can see that they were not preparing specially for the occasion.
That is why some people felt indignant. In their opinion, during the elections one should dress more elegantly to reflect the seriousness of the situation and, at the same time, honor democracy. Some did not fail to mention the inappropriate clothing that Maciej Dowbor and his family presented among the comments. One of Instagram users asked directly:
“We’re entering the election as if we got off the bike?”
Joanna Koroniewska asked rhetorically if there are any rules that clearly define the requirements for clothing. In addition, under another entry she explained that “we later immediately in dance with the children – there was no time to pimp.” It turns out, however, that not only Maciej Dowbor and his family in this outfit decided to vote. Adam Zdrójkowski, Kuba Wojewódzki, and even Filip Chajzer showed pictures of voting in which they were not dressed too elegantly.
