In particular, unvaccinated people will not be able to visit cinemas, museums, sports clubs even if they have a negative test for COVID-19.

The new restrictions on the unvaccinated were announced by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis after a sharp increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus in the past few weeks.

“Unvaccinated people will no longer be able to visit closed public spaces even if they have a negative coronavirus test. Now people without vaccination are prohibited from visiting only restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs,” the politician said.

Mitsotakis said the cabinet plan is for “Christmas this year is better than last.”

At the same time, the head of government clarified that unvaccinated parishioners of churches are allowed to attend services if they have a negative coronavirus test result.

In addition, the government of the country has decided to reduce the validity of the certificate for vaccinated persons over 60 years of age to seven months. After the expiration of this period, they will have a month to get a booster vaccine against the disease.
