Nuevo Laredo.- This Saturday was the hug ceremony for the brotherhood between Mexico Y U.S in the vicinity of the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge, on the occasion of the Commemoration of the Birth of George Washington.
The president of the United States Congress was present at the ceremony, Nancy Pelosi, and the governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, who endorsed the bonds of friendship and collaboration between the two nations.
The state leader said that “it is a tradition that unites even more two great nations, but above all a community that has demonstrated over the years that we are not only neighbors, but that we are business partners, we are allies.”
He also said that the Rio Grande or the Rio Grande is not something that divides them, but something that unites us, “we are not only allies and partners or friends, but we are family that live on both sides of the border, and that is something unique, not only level Mexico–U.S, but worldwide. ”

In turn, the Democratic legislator said: “I appreciate the opportunity to be present at this celebration with leaders from both countries such as Congressman Henry Cuellar and Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, governor of Tamaulipas. “
The governor said that his administration will strengthen the construction of Bridge III, IV and V, which will give additional dynamism to said border, in addition to the possibility of building a railway bridge to make the region more competitive.
In his opportunity, the ambassador of Mexico in U.SMartha Bárcena said that this event represents a moving act that shows the long and lasting friendship between Mexico Y U.S.
