Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) announced that until today, Sunday (18/10/2020) the number of daily positive cases of Covid-19 is still above 4,000 cases per day, to be precise there are an addition of 4,105 new cases.
Thus, in national accumulation, the number of people infected with this new type of corona virus has reached 361,867.
This number is lower than the addition of last Saturday (17/10) which was 4,301 cases a day to 357,762.
Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients increased by 3,732 people to 285,324 from last Saturday, which increased by 4,048 to 281,592 people. Meanwhile, the death rate due to Covid-19 increased by 80 to 12,511 people.
As of today, there are five provinces with the lowest daily cases below 10 cases. The five provinces, among others, Central Kalimantan with zero cases, are the same as North Maluku.
Meanwhile, in 3 other provinces there were 3 additional positive cases, namely, West Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Gorontalo.
The provinces with the highest number of cases were DKI Jakarta, with 971 new cases, followed by East Kalimantan with 382 cases, Central Java with 356 cases and Riau with 284 cases. Meanwhile, in East Java and West Java, there were additional 211 and 242 new cases recorded.
To date, the corona virus has spread to 500 districts / cities in 34 provinces in Indonesia. The government is also still monitoring 159,715 people with suspected Covid-19 status.
