Sixty new corona infections have been diagnosed in the province of Groningen in the past seven days. Half of them are thirty years old and younger. This is evident from figures from the GGD Groningen.
“Of the 60, 32 are between 15 and 30 years old”, the GGD says. “One third of these people had returned from abroad. A source is known for almost half of the new infections. There are a number of small clusters in the province. ” The GGD sees a clear increase in the number of infections compared to the previous weeks. Extensive source and contact research attempts to stop the spread of the virus as quickly as possible.
