Crime reporter John van den Heuvel (57) spoke with Gerard about the burglary. “The woman walked in with a vague chat trick. She was very familiar with Gerard. At first he thought it might be someone from the neighborhood,” John says. “Gerard did not know what happened to him and panicked a bit. He then called the woman in his living room and called the neighbor. He immediately came to the house with two sons.”

According to Gerard, the woman did not take anything from the house, but he was very shocked. “This doesn’t feel right,” says John. “It seems to be very focused. The question is what the woman did in the house. Maybe it was a preliminary investigation or she wanted to let henchmen in. Camera images show that the woman did not arrive at the house alone.” Gerard reported the matter to the police on Tuesday afternoon. They handle this.
It is not the first time that strangers have tried to penetrate Gerard’s home. In March 2010, three masked men attempted to break into violence. She did not succeed, but it did prevent the singer from feeling safe in his own house.
