The main suspect in the murder of Georgi Markov has died, APA reported.
The agency clarifies that it is about the Italian with a Danish passport Francesco Gulino. He is known as Agent Piccadilly.
He was found dead in his home in the Austrian city of Wales by a friend.
A doctor has confirmed the death of the 75-year-old former secret agent.
Police said that there is no evidence of a violent death.

Georgi Markov is a Bulgarian writer and dissident who lived in London from 1969 until his assassination in 1978.
In the UK, he works for BBC Radio and Free Europe. He is the author of “Absentee Reports for Bulgaria”, which includes a series of essays broadcast on Radio Free Europe. In them he tells about life in socialist Bulgaria.
On September 7, 1978 in London an assassination attempt was made against Georgi Markov and a few days later he died. His murder gained a wide public response around the world and became known as the “murder with the Bulgarian umbrella”.
