A new initiative for SMEs promotes sustainable business models. The three winners will each receive 10,000 euros in prize money and media attention.
Vienna (OTS) – Sustainability is an essential point of the corporate strategy, not only at Generali Versicherung, but also at many European companies. The SMEs play an important role in this. They represent 99 percent of companies in the EU and contribute 56 percent to value creation. With their sustainable ideas and products, they do outstanding work to counteract increasing global warming, to give their employees fair opportunities or to do good for society.
Award
On the occasion of its 190th anniversary, Generali honors precisely these companies. CEO Gregor Pilgram: “Thanks to its long history, Generali has an extraordinary wealth of experience and knowledge. This enables us to meet the current challenges and contribute to a better future. With the Generali SME EnterPRIZE we give sustainable small and medium-sized companies the chance to present themselves and win attractive prizes. At the same time we make them visible in the media.
What is the Generali SME EnterPRIZE?
Generali SME EnterPRIZE was launched in the anniversary year by the Generali Group for small and medium-sized companies in order to motivate companies to introduce sustainable business models and to establish existing initiatives in the long term and to present them across Europe.
Who can take part?
Generali SME customers are invited to apply as Generali SME Heroes and thus act as ambassadors for Austria’s best sustainable companies. The level of awareness and competitiveness of a company are thus significantly increased. The application period starts immediately and ends on May 31, 2021. After that, a jury of sustainability experts in Austria will select three winners – in the categories of business model, products and services and sustainability through digitization. The winners will each receive 10,000 euros in prize money. These Generali SME EnterPRIZE Heroes are also taking part in an international tender by the Generali Group – accompanied by a media presence that attracts the public.
