Galaxy Watch 3: Official pictures indicate the launch date

After the first official press photos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch model appeared two days ago, more photos have now been published. The latest marketing images now also contain a reference to the launch date of the Wearables.

As was the case with the previously leaked images, the latest marketing render by Evan Blass made available. In addition to the time, “Wed 22”, which stands for a Wednesday on the 22nd day of a month, appears on one of the pictures. The 22nd day of the coming month of July is also a Wednesday.

Press photos of the Galaxy Watch 3 indicate …
Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 (SM-R840)… for a launch on July 22nd.

Release possibly on July 22, 2020

In the past, the dates noted on marketing images have in many cases represented the release date of the product. It is considered likely that this is also the case with the Galaxy Watch 3. Accordingly, the smartwatch should see the light of day on July 22, 2020. The device is to be offered in two sizes, with a housing diameter of 41 and 45 millimeters, respectively.

Although the smartwatch is actually a direct successor to the original Samsung Galaxy Watch, the device should not appear under the name Galaxy Watch 2, but under the name Galaxy Watch 3. In contrast to the Galaxy Watch Active 2, the watch again has a rotating bezel.

It is still unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 or the Galaxy Watch 3 will actually be announced on July 22. It is possible that the South Korean electronics manufacturer has postponed the date and the press images that have now appeared are no longer up to date. So far Samsung of course not yet to the new one Smartwatch voiced. The date of the launch event may be officially confirmed in the coming days.
