Children’s crossers are usually simple, inexpensive and, above all, robust. The design company Zukun Plan with the Z56 Ego dirt bike is now proving that these are not the only attributes.

Future Plan, a design company from the USA, has thought about the children’s crosser of the future. Z56 EGO Dirtbike was named the futuristic design, which integrated an electric drive into its frame. As befits a crosser, the future design offers long travel and coarse-tread mini bikes. The supporting structure is a simple tubular frame with a compact electric motor in the center.

The articulation point for the two-arm swing arm with central spring strut is located directly behind the engine. The front wheel is guided by a massive upside-down fork. Front and rear lights look stylish thanks to LED technology. There is a display in the cockpit.

With 1.4 HP, the Z56 EGO Dirt Bike can be moved for an hour.

The electric motor produces 1.4 HP, electricity comes from a removable 420 Wh battery. This should allow one hour of driving time, the charging time is also one hour. With the help of a second battery, non-stop use would also be possible.

As usual with children’s crossers, the power of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain without chain guard. The Z56 EGO is intended for children aged 6 to 11 years. However, it is a design that is intended to arouse the interest of an industrial partner.
