The French Open semifinal is a reality again after two years! Czech tennis players Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková lost in the quarterfinals of the women’s doubles to the American stars Sofia Keninová and Bethania Matteková-Sandsová after almost two hours and sets 1: 6, 6: 4, 6: 2. Krejčíková and Siniaková, the fourth defenders of the title and this year’s twin spiders of Hungary, Tíma Babosová, and the home team Kristina Mladenovicová, will compete for the finals of the clay grand slam.

The previous year’s Czech doubles winners in Paris did not win the first set with the Americans, in which they lost five games in a row from 1: 1. In the second set, they gradually improved. They managed the critical moment in the state of 4: 4, when Krejčíková lost 0:40 when serving and the opponents then had an advantage. The tailor maintained the service and happily raised her hands above her head.
Maybe it foreshadowed a turnaround in the match. After the break, the Czechs took the Keninová service with a clean game, got the second set 6: 4 and were better in the third. Although Siniaková was often angry with herself, she did well on the net and Krejčíková played smartly and emotionally.
