Since October there has been a weekly meeting point for mothers and their children in the Haus der Jugend in Uhlandstrasse. With the open offer, the women can exchange ideas on topics such as the organization of everyday family life, life with family in Freiburg or questions about upbringing. The rooms in the “kubez”, which are suitable for small children, invite you to play and get to know each other together.
The café is organized with the support of volunteer supervisors from the Freiburg / Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district of the Child Protection Association. The offer is intended, among other things, to provide access to other projects, as well as educational and leisure activities for mothers, children and the entire family, which are otherwise not easily accessible.
“Anyone who has small children of their own knows how important it is to be able to exchange ideas with other parents and to have a place where you can meet with the children. We were therefore very happy to support this child protection association project with our donation, ”said Alexander Jacobs, Head of the Board of Management of Volksbank Freiburg, when the donation was handed over.
The donation was made possible by the customers of Volksbank Freiburg, who signed a profit savings card with the profit savings association Südwest eV. With every ticket you buy, you support charitable organizations in the region.
