Frederico Varandas re-elected Sporting president by a wide margin

Frederico Varandas was re-elected this Saturday as president of Sporting. The leader will manage the current national champion for another term, this one for the triennium 2022-2025.

Varandas, from List A, won by a large margin, with 85.6%. Nuno Sousa, from List C, came in second place in this election with 1,335 votes, 7.3%. Ricardo Oliveira, from List B, ended up in last place with 415 votes, corresponding to 2.95%. In these elections, 14,795 members voted, far from the 22,510 registered in 2018.

It will be the second term of Frederico Varandas in the direction of Sporting. The current president was elected in 2018, succeeding Bruno de Carvalho. During three years of leadership, Varandas has a national champion title, two League Cups and a Portuguese Cup.
