Hütter hope that he will be “very, very good” for a long time and that he will continue to enjoy the daily dealings and exchanges with people. “The natural values are more important to me than the material ones,” emphasized the Altacher in an interview published on the Eintracht homepage.
“Have a nice football experience”
On his anniversary day, Austria’s ex-international looked back happily on his life to date. “Even if one naturally remembers the first few years less, I spent a great childhood, youth and also a great football experience,” said Hütter. In his 19-year career as a player, he was Austrian champion three times (1994, 1995 and 1997 with SV Austria Salzburg) and completed 14 international matches.
Hütter took over his home club Altach in 2009 as a trainer. Twice he failed with the Rheindörflern on promotion to the Bundesliga. He then led Red Bull Salzburg to double (2015) and Young Boys Bern (2018) to the championship title. With the Eintracht he reached the semi-finals in the Europa League in the previous season. “If I look at the past ten years for myself, I have also taken a successful path as a coach, which has led me to a Bundesliga club and traditional club like Eintracht to this day,” summed up Hütter.
Two training sessions on the birthday
Football was also the focus of his day of honor. “The most important thing for me is to be with the team and the staff. That’s why I started two training sessions. In the evening I will go out for dinner with my daughter who is visiting. On Wednesday, after the morning training session, I will invite the team to lunch, ”reveals Hütter, who made the decision early on to land in football professionally, because“ as a child, I ran more after football than women ”.
